Mary Alexander Honored by Daily Journal in 2021 Top Women List

Mary Alexander is honored to be featured in Daily Journal’s 2021 Top Women Issue alongside an incredible grouping of successful women in the legal field for the 3rd year in a row. Mary worked tirelessly this past year in spite of the monumental hurdles introduced by the pandemic to bring justice to her clients and is grateful to have her achievements recognized by DailyJournal.

Mary Alexander’s career has been a remarkable one, and over the last two years alone she has achieved incredible results for her clients. In July 2020, as liaison counsel for the plaintiffs, she announced a $32.7 million settlement had been reached in the first portion of the Ghost Ship warehouse fire litigation. The Ghost Ship fire, one of the deadliest structure fires in U.S. history, resulted in 36 deaths and numerous injuries.

For over 30 years, Mary Alexander has earned a national reputation for her work protecting consumer rights, winning the respect of clients and colleagues alike. As a pioneering female trial lawyer, Ms. Alexander is a past-president of both the Association of Trial Lawyers of America (now known as the American Association for Justice or AAJ) and the Consumer Attorneys of California (CAOC) and has been at the forefront of some of the state’s most prominent litigation.
